A spring morning in the tulip field in Hudson, MA.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of spending the morning in the tulip field at Ferjulian's Farm with this lovely, young family. It was a bit chilly and very sunny but they rolled with it and we got some lovely shots. This family are total pros in front of the camera- very at ease with natural smiles and very relaxed way about them. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them and getting to know them. One of my favorite parts of any family photo session is seeing your love for each other and hearing your story. It was a honor to document this moment in their family's history.
The location of this family portrait session was Ferjulian's Farm in Hudson, MA. Each Spring, Ferjulian's farmers plant 300,000 tulip bulbs on their hillside which blooms into an explosion of color in late April & early May. This is a favorite spot of mine to pick their beautiful tulips to bring home so it is a thrill to be offering family sessions at this spot this year. They have a show garden in the front of the field that is brimming with 20,000 yellow and red tulips makes the perfect spot for some beautiful family photos among the blooms. The tulips are still a bit early and should be in peak bloom next week! The field is open from 9 AM-5PM on weekdays and photo sessions are only available during those hours. I have opened up some more slots for family photos in the field next week on April 29th, April 30th & May 1st in the later afternoon.
