Spring things...
Winter in New England can be long and brutal. While there is beauty on those snowy days, there is a lot of brown and blah in the landscape during those months. April arrives and *bam* the landscape explodes with fresh, beautiful colors. The bright greens of the grass and new leaves and the pastels of all the flowers and blooming trees fills the landscape. It is a feast for weary eyes. This makes spring one of my favorite seasons.
Spring is a wonderful time for family photos. The backdrop is a bit more calming and soothing than the bold colors of autumn. Spring is more pinks, purples, pale yellows and white whereas autumn is bold reds, oranges and yellows. Mix it up and have your family portaits taken in Spring to add a bit of variety to your annual photo tradition. Your outfit choices can be less the earth tones of autumn and lean into cool tones, which is incredibly flattering. Pale blues, pinks, greens, white, yellow are the perfect clothing colors to wear in your spring family portraits.
The colors of these Easter photos are a perfect example of how stunning spring portraits can be. The light is beautiful, the outfits are perfection and those gorgeous, smiling faces are the icing on top. The weather is warm without being stifling which helps keep little ones happy too!
