Grab your Cap, Gown and Friends!
A cap and gown session is a dedicated portrait session where your senior gets photographed in full graduation attire with their friends or family before the big day arrives. Graduation is a significant milestone in your graduate's life- commemorate it with beautiful and fun photos of them with their friends. No blurry iphone shots, just intentional, joyful images that will last a lifetime.
This graduation season, I had the pleasure of capturing several groups of Lincoln Sudbury graduates. These sessions are open to all local high school graduates including Concord Carlisle High School, Weston High School, Wayland High School, Nashoba Regional High School, Natick High School and more! These sessions can be held locally on your school's campus or at a location in your town that is beautiful or meaningful to you. If you are planning for your 2027 graduate, definitely include cap and gown photos in your spring timeline.
No cap & down session is complete without a quick change into future college t-shirts. Grade the pennants and t shirts and celebrate the next stage for these amazing graduates. Celebrating where your friend groups are off to makes the photos even more special and fun. These images will help to fill that dorm room wall collage for next year so they keep their favorite people close at heart.
Why Photos Before (or after!) the Big Day Is A Great Idea!
Your senior gets to actually be present at Graduation. When the photos are already handled, there is no pressure. You aren’t trying to coral your graduate and their friends when they just want to be celebrating together. Your student walks across that stage and feels the moment instead of stressing about whether someone caught it on camera.
You get to be present too. Parents, graduation is one of those days you want to absorb completely. You should be standing in that crowd, proud tears and all, not juggling a camera and trying to get the perfect shot from a bad angle.
Professional photography makes a difference. Graduation is not a moment that deserves a blurry iPhone photo. A professional session means proper lighting, intentional composition, and edited images that look as significant as the milestone itself.
Senior year is one of those seasons that feels endless and then suddenly it is over. Let’s capture some beautiful photos together so the memory can live on.
