Trending for the Class of 2027 ...
Class of 2027, senior portraits are well underway at Lisa West Photography and I am noticing a few trends that I am loving. So far, I have had the pleasure of photographing students from Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School, Wayland High School, Weston High School, Concord Carlisle High School, Nashoba Regional High School, Natick High School and more! This year's seniors are brining great looks and even better ideas! Let's discuss what we are seeing from the Class of 2027.
Florals!
This season of seniors portraits has brought many sessions held in flower fields and gardens. Additionally, many seniors have chosen to hold wildflowers or bouquets in their portraits. Some schools do not allow students to hold items in their yearbook portraits so we are sure to include many photos without the florals, however, those with the flowers really make the photos special. If you are a flower lover, consider bringing your favorite flowers to your senior portrait session.
Sports, musical pursuits and hobbies!
Senior portraits are a wonderful time to show what makes you unique and special. Are you a musician? Do you play a sport that is a huge part of your life? Do you knit, craft or enjoy artistic pursuits? Your senior portraits are the perfect time to celebrate what makes you YOU! A guitar, a lacrosse stick, an easel and brushes, skis, ballet shoes and more are the perfect addition to your portraits. A location is also a great way to show your personality. Several seniors this year have chose a golf course for their senior portrait location. Not only is the landscape beautiful at local courses but it's also a spot that some seniors spend alot of good times with family and friends.
Childhood items!
A beloved lovey or a blanket that has been by your side since birth are the perfect addition to a few of your senior portraits. It is a full circle moment from your earliest memories to this milestone year in your life. These are the mementos of you life that you won't want to forget and incorporating them into senior photos give them the spotlight they deserve.
Besties!
Whether you have been friends since you were toddlers or they are newer friends by your side in high school, your closest friends have a huge place in your life. Your friends are a built in hype and glam squad to your senior portraits. Some seniors and their friends get their senior portraits taken together. All the seniors have time for their individual portraits and you also have time for group photos to kick off your senior year. In other occasions, a senior's friend just attends the shoot to support them and pops in for a few photos, which works well when your friend may be in a younger grade and not coming into their senior year.
