The Night Before....


A wedding weekend is filled with so many beautiful moments with the couple's friends and families. Kicking off their wedding weekend excitement is the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. For some couples, it is an intimate evening with their bridal party and their immediate families. For other couples, the evening before the wedding is a big welcome event for all of their guests. No matter what the style of the event, a rehearsal dinner is an important part of a wedding weekend. The excitement and anticipation of the big day, intertwined with the joy of seeing friends and family coming from near and far to celebrate makes this an emotional evening that is not to be forgotten.


This couple was married on a September weekend in Newport, Rhode Island. Their rehearsal dinner the evening before was held at The Reef right in the heart of downtown Newport and on it's beautiful harbor. Unfortunately, mother nature did not gift this couple with a dry wedding weekend but there were moments we could sneak outside for a few windy photos. Otherwise, most of our photos were inside the venue but that didn't dampen their spirits or the beauty of the night. From heartfelt speeches to tears to moments of laughter and joy, this rehearsal dinner had it all. The feeling most prevalent that evening was love- of the couple for each other and for their friends and family. I am so grateful that I was there to experience this evening and capture it for the couple to look back on for years to come.
